fand am 30. Mai 2024 wieder mit einem RIESEN-ERFOLG statt, wo THE ROLLING STONES in FOXBOROUGH im GILLETTE STADIUMauftraten!
Ca. 75.000 Zuschauer feierten bei einer Aussentemperatur von 20 Grad (Celsius), bedecktem Himmel und ganz leichtem Regenwetter wieder einmal frenetisch die allergrößte, allerbeste und dienstälteste Rockband aller Zeiten und des Universums.
Und auch inFOXBOROUGH brach frenetischer Jubel aus, als Mick Jagger den Song START ME UP fit wie eh und je zelebrierte.
Bei GET OFF OF MY CLOUD waren Mick und die gesamte Band zum achten Mal mehr als in ihrem Element.
Mit dem Song BITCH bestritt die Band auch hier wieder eine hervorragende dritte Nummer.
Bei ANGRY behielt Mick spürbar seine Steigerung aus den 7 vorausgegangenen Konzerten bei, was das Publikum ihm wieder mit großem Beifall und Johlen dankte.
Und dann folgte als Zuschauerwunsch ein wunderbares EMOTIONAL RESCUE als Tourdebut. Der Song wurde seit 2014 nicht mehr bei einem Stadion-Gig vorgetragen.
Den Song TUMBLING DICE durfte auch an diesem Abend nicht fehlen. Das Publikum dankte es mit großem Applaus.
Und es folgte ein eunderbares WILD HORSES, was sehr gut auch beim Publikum FOXBOROUGH ankam.
Es folgte das auf dieser Tour schon fast obligate obligate MESS IT UP, wo das Publikum wieder einmal wunderbar mitsang.
Es folgte wieder als 9. Nummer YOU CAN´T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT wieder mit der kompletten Bandvorstellung.
Dann überbanhm Keith Richards – wie mehrfach auf dieser Tour gehabt – als Vocalist an den Part des Frontmannes, der auch hier in FOXBOROUGH 2 Songs vortrug. A) TELL ME STRAIGHT
und B) LITTLE T&A.
Es folgte – wie in Houston, Orleans, Grendale,Las Vegas, Seattle und am 23./26.05.2024 in East Rutherford erfolgreich gehabt – mit einer großartigen Performance des Mick Jagger der Song SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL.
Unmittelbar danach folgte auch hier wieder ein ganz hervorragendes HONKY TONK WOMEN.
Ein supertolles und wieder mit hervorragender Performance des Mick versehenes MIDNIGHT RAMBLER mit einem Zwichenspiel von HELLBOUND ON MY TRAIL (Robert Johnson) schloss sich an und brachte das Publikum zum Kochen.
Sodann präsentierten THE ROLLING STONES – besonders Mick Jagger und Chanel Haynes – wie bei den sieben vorausgegangenen Konzerten – ein geiles GIMME SHELTER, das auch FOXBOROUGH tosenden Beifall und großes Gejohle nach sich zog!
Es folgte ein tolles PAINT IT BLACK.
Sodann kreierte die Band auch in FOXBOROUGH ein fantastisches JUMPIN´ JACK FLASH, bei dem Mick wieder sein ALLERBESTES gab und das Publikum auch hier ganz toll mitmachte.
Zwei obligate Zugaben standen wieder am Ende des Konzertes. Weil es mittlerweile ein MUSS für Mick und Chanel ist, die das als ideale Performance-Ebenen ansehen, nämlich SWEET SOUNDS OF HEAVEN!
Auch bei diesem GIG schloss ein wundervolles STONES-KONZERT mit der Zugabe SATISFACTION, ab! Das Publikum dankte es mit langanhaltendem Beifall und lautstarken Jubelrufen.

As a Robert Johnsen fan, I was really happy that the ROLLING STONES mentioned and covered him on their North American tour. They particularly paid tribute to him with the song “Hellhound on My Trail”.
According to blues historian Samuel Charters, the first and last verses are “the best blues lyrics you can find.” The idea of “hellhounds” coming for sinners was common in the American South at the time, and so this idea may have influenced Johnson’s text. Musically it is a 12-bar blues, but the lyrics make the song extraordinary. Robert Johnson’s tragic life (1911 to 1938), his blues of painful poetry and his innovations on the guitar not only surprised his contemporaries Son House, Honeyboy Edwards and Muddy Waters, but also decisively shaped the history of blues and pop music. Entire legions of black & white musicians adopted his compositions. From Elmore James to Eric Clapton, from Fleetwood Mac to the Rolling Stones.

I was at this concert and thought I was dreaming. From a distance of about 100 meters you thought you had a boy band on stage. The oldest boy band in the world, now in its 62nd year of existence, offers fantastic music combined with excellent performance. I’ve seen them a lot and I never get bored. Every stage show is different and at Gillette Stadium on May 30th it was nothing short of perfect.

I was at this concert and can therefore confirm the report first hand. As a French tourist, I will stay in the USA for another 4 weeks and will attend at least two more Stones concerts as part of the Hackney tour and report back to you about them. By the way, I can tell you that your website is absolutely fantastic.
